Description

At present forum posts allow editing and deleting for an indefinite period by the author.

A time lock ought to be put in place to allow editing only for a specified period.

Boone Gorges has a possible Has_Patch for this

This is an enhancement, and not sure this should be an enforced choice for every BP site. Best implemented as an option, or perhaps as a plugin, maybe.

I'm tempted to say this is plugin territory, but I'm willing to entertain arguments.

I also think this is probably better done in a plugin. wontfix'ing as there has been no further comments in 3 months.
